|Welcome to the Home Site for
The Donohue Ten of Albany, NY
Our first ancestor 'sightings' are in the 1850's we see the
Mahan Family, James & Margaret Brett, coming from Ireland
to Watertown, NY. with their first 3 sons, including our
Grandfather Peter, who later married Mary Ryan in Rensselaer
and begot Mary Mahan.
Then we see Timothy Donohue and Bridget Hackett married in the
R.C. Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on December 8, 1861.
The census shows them living at 28 Monroe Street in Albany, and
having 4 sons, including John J. in 1864, who went on to marry
Cordelia Jarry (Jenri) of Glens Falls; and their first child, Francis T.,
who went on to marry Mary Mahan in 1924. They are our wonderful
parents , Francis T. and Mary G. "Mother and Dad", who went on to
raise the TEN of us in Albany, NY.
How fortunate we have been !
